The Entomology Department at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center (Mills River, NC) has openings for seasonal technicians! These positions support research in sustainable insect pest management in fruit and vegetable crops, particularly apples and tomatoes. Job duties include: implementing field experiments in research plots and on commercial farms, collecting data, maintaining field trials, and some lab and microscope work.
This is a great opportunity for college students or recent graduates with biology-related degrees to gain valuable field experience while helping to advance agricultural pest management in western North Carolina.
